How This Website Handles Your Information
In plain English: what this site collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Last updated September 2026
What We Collect
This website collects only what you type into the inquiry form on the Work With Me page: your name, email address, phone number, and your message. It also records which page of the site you sent the form from.
If you never fill in the form, we do not collect any of that information.
How It Is Used
Your information is used to respond to your inquiry. We also use it for basic monthly reporting on where inquiries come from, such as which page of the site people were on when they got in touch.
We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
Please Keep Sensitive Details for the Consultation
The inquiry form is not a secure channel for clinical or sensitive personal information. Please do not include details about your health, history, or diagnoses in your message. A short note about how to reach you is plenty; those conversations belong in your free consultation.
This Website and Your Clinical Records
This website is a way to learn about the practice and get in touch. It is not a clinical record system, and we do not describe it as HIPAA compliant. If you become a client, your clinical records are held separately by the practice and are governed by Marisa's professional obligations as a Texas Licensed Professional Counselor and by HIPAA.
Asking About or Deleting Your Information
You can ask what information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, at any time. Send a short note through the Work With Me form saying what you would like, and we will reply to confirm.
Changes to This Policy
If what this website collects changes, we will update this page and the date above.
There Is Room for You Here
The first step is a free consultation — a short, no-pressure conversation about what you are carrying and whether we are a good fit.
