No insurance billing, no surprise invoices, no packages to commit to. You will know exactly what a session costs before you book one.
Individual Session
Confirmed on Your Free Consultation
Fifty-minute individual counseling by secure video. Marisa will confirm the session fee with you directly on your free consultation call, before anything is scheduled or charged — so you can make the decision with the full figure in front of you.
Payment is self-pay. Marisa does not bill insurance, which means no diagnosis is required for a claim and no insurer decides how many sessions you are allowed.
Free Consultation
No Charge
A short conversation before you commit to anything. You describe what is going on, Marisa tells you honestly whether she is the right person for it, and you both confirm the practical details — fee, scheduling and how sessions run.
There is no obligation to book afterward, and no follow-up sales pitch if you decide it is not for you.
Reduced-Fee Places
Marisa holds a limited number of reduced-fee places in her caseload for clients for whom the standard fee is genuinely out of reach. These are offered on a sliding scale and are limited by availability rather than by paperwork — there is no means test and no proof of income to submit. If cost is the thing standing between you and starting, say so on your consultation call and ask whether a place is open. It is a normal question and it will not affect how you are treated.

Payment and Scheduling
Everything runs through SimplePractice — secure, and built for health records.
Payment method
Self-pay by card, kept on file in SimplePractice and charged after each session. You receive a receipt every time.
Superbills
If you would like to try claiming out-of-network reimbursement from your insurer, Marisa can provide a superbill on request. Whether it is reimbursed is between you and your plan.
Your client portal
Intake paperwork, appointments, invoices and secure messaging all live in one portal. Nothing clinical travels over ordinary email.
Session length
Individual sessions run fifty minutes. Most clients start weekly and space sessions out as things settle.
Cancellation Policy
All visits that are not cancelled before 24 hours of the appointment time — or before the last business day before your appointment (e.g., contact by Friday for a Monday appointment) — will be charged a $100 fee for the missed appointment.
The policy exists because a reserved hour cannot be given to anyone else at short notice. Life happens — tell Marisa as early as you can and she will always work with you where she reasonably can.
