Online Therapy for Corpus Christi
Life on the Coastal Bend comes with sea breezes, shift work and hurricane season. Online counseling lets you get support from home, without wondering who might see you in a waiting room.

When Hurricane Season Leaves Its Mark
If you live in Corpus Christi, storm season is part of the calendar. Watching forecasts, stocking supplies, deciding whether to evacuate: it adds up, especially if you have lived through a storm that damaged your home or your town. Harvey made landfall nearby in 2017, and for many families along the coast, that memory has not fully faded.
Stress that spikes with the weather is real, and it can be worked on. We start with practical coping tools for anxiety, and if a past storm still feels close, trauma work at your pace can help it take up less space.
Shift Work at the Port and the Plants
The Port of Corpus Christi, the refineries and the petrochemical plants keep the region running, often on rotating or overnight shifts. Shift work can scramble sleep, strain relationships and make regular appointments hard to keep. Video sessions remove the drive, which can make it easier to fit counseling around a schedule that changes from week to week.
Navy Families on the Coast
With Naval Air Station Corpus Christi nearby, many families here know the rhythm of military life, from training schedules to moves. Those changes can be hard on spouses, teens and service members alike. There is no military-specific program here, and I do not bill insurance, but the counseling itself can help with the strain of moves and time apart.

Storms pass, but what they leave behind can linger. You deserve a steady place to set it down.
Students at the Island University
Students at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, out on Ward Island, and at Del Mar College juggle classes, jobs and sometimes family responsibilities. Sessions by secure video fit between commitments, and you can join from a dorm room or a parked car with a view of the water.
Privacy in a Mid-Size City
In a city where you might run into your coworker, your pastor and your child's teacher in the same grocery store, privacy about counseling can matter. Online sessions mean no shared waiting room and no recognizable car in a parking lot. Your sessions happen from a space you choose.
Everything clinical runs through a secure SimplePractice portal, not ordinary email, and confidentiality has the same legal limits for every Texas counselor, which I explain in the first session.
What We Can Work On
The concerns I work with include depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, relationships, grief, life transitions and stress and burnout. I use cognitive behavioral therapy and a client-centered approach, and Christian counseling is available on request.
There is no office in Corpus Christi; all sessions happen by secure video while you are in Texas. My page on online therapy anywhere in Texas explains more, and San Antonio is the closest big-city page if you travel back and forth.
Common Questions
- Can counseling help with anxiety every hurricane season?
- Yes. Storm anxiety comes back each year for a lot of people on the coast, and practical work can help: making a plan, noticing the thoughts that spiral, and calming the body when the forecasts start. If a past storm still feels raw, we can work on that too, at your pace.
- I work rotating shifts. Can counseling still work for me?
- It can. Because sessions are by secure video, you do not have to factor in a drive. We can talk about which times are realistic for your schedule on the free consultation.
- Will anyone know I am in counseling?
- Not from seeing you in a waiting room, because there is none. Sessions happen from a private space you choose, and clinical records are kept through a secure portal. The legal limits to confidentiality are the same for every Texas counselor, and I go over them in the first session.
- Can I meet from Padre Island or across the bay?
- Yes. As long as you are in Texas, you can meet from anywhere around the Coastal Bend, including Padre Island, Portland or Robstown. All you need is privacy and a steady connection.
