Online Therapy for San Antonio
San Antonio is a city of families, students and military households, and all three know what it means to carry a lot. Online counseling gives you a private hour without adding another drive to the week.

Military Life and Constant Change
With Joint Base San Antonio woven through the city, many households know the rhythm of military life: moves on short notice, deployments, homecomings and the work of starting over in a new place. Even when a move is expected, it can leave a spouse, a teen or a service member feeling unmoored.
Those changes are life transitions, and they deserve support. Because sessions are online, our work can continue through a move anywhere within Texas. I do not offer military-specific programs, and the practice is self-pay, but counseling can help with the stress, grief and adjustment that come with this life.
Caring for Everyone at Once
If you are raising children while also looking after an aging parent, or living in a home that holds several generations, you may be the person everyone depends on. That kind of love is a gift, and it is also exhausting. Caregiving stress often hides behind competence: you keep everything running, so nobody notices you are running on empty.
We can look at what you carry, what you can share or set down, and how to protect small pockets of rest. My approach is proactive, so we work on it before you hit a wall.
Teens Who Keep Starting Over
For military kids, a new duty station can mean a new school, new friends and a new set of unwritten rules, sometimes every few years. Some teens adapt quickly. Others go quiet, pull back or start struggling in ways that are easy to miss in the middle of a move.
If your teen is having a hard time with a transition, counseling can give them a steady hour, and it can continue through a move as long as you stay in Texas. My page on therapy for teens in Texas explains how I work with teenagers and parents.

Being the one everyone leans on is a lot. You deserve somewhere to lean, too.
Students in San Antonio
For students at UTSA, Trinity, St. Mary's or any of the city's colleges, the pressure to keep up can be intense, especially if you are also working or helping your family. Sessions by secure video fit between classes and shifts, from a dorm, a parked car or home. My page on therapy for college students explains more.
Grief, Faith and Family
Grief in a close family can be complicated: everyone mourns differently, and someone usually ends up holding everyone else together. If you have lost someone, or are watching a parent decline, grief counseling has no timetable and no tidy stages.
If faith is part of your family's daily life, Christian counseling is available when you ask for it, and it stays out entirely if you do not. People of every faith and none are welcome.
What We Can Work On
Whether you live inside Loop 410 or out past 1604, the concerns I work with include depression, anxiety, the stress of moves and deployments, caregiving, ADHD, relationships, grief and burnout. My approach draws on cognitive behavioral therapy, client-centered care and solution-focused work.
There is no office to visit. We meet by secure video, and you need to be located in Texas at session time. The page on online therapy anywhere in Texas explains more, and Austin is just up the road if you split your time between the two cities.
Common Questions
- Do you accept military insurance?
- No. The practice is self-pay and does not bill any insurance. I can provide a superbill on request if you want to try for out-of-network reimbursement, though whether it is reimbursed is between you and your plan. See rates for details.
- Can we keep meeting if my family is reassigned?
- If the move is within Texas, yes, since sessions are by secure video. If you move out of state, we would need to stop, because I am licensed in Texas, and we would talk ahead of time about finding a counselor where you are going.
- I am a caregiver with almost no free time. Can counseling fit?
- It can be easier than you might expect, because there is no drive and no waiting room. Fifty minutes from a quiet room at home or a parked car is often manageable. We can talk about realistic timing on the free consultation.
